I’m excited to share that my next watercolor workshop with CEED is coming up this winter, with a focus on local winter wildlife.
Practice layering, color mixing, and simple brushwork
Work from reference images and guided prompts
Optionally add light notes or observations alongside your painting, if you enjoy reflecting or documenting what you notice
No prior watercolor experience is needed — this class is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and pressure-free.

About the Instructor
Jennifer Lucas is the artist behind Beach Oak Designs, offering nature-inspired artwork and creative workshops. Her watercolor classes focus on building confidence, learning practical techniques, and enjoying the process — whether you’re brand new to watercolor or returning for another class.
"Stained Glass" Shamrock at Tara Inn $25
Gallery Glass Night at the Tara Inn
Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly Gallery Glass painting class hosted at the Tara Inn. In this workshop, you’ll create a painted stained-glass–style design using Gallery Glass paints — no real glass cutting or gluing involved.
You’ll paint on a peel-away surface and leave with a finished piece that can be displayed as a window cling or framed artwork. All materials are provided, and step-by-step instruction makes this class accessible for all experience levels.
This event is hosted by the Tara Inn — drinks will be available for purchase, and guests are kindly asked to support the bar during the event.
Cozy Valentine Cottage Stained Glass Painting
Create a sweet winter cottage with a glowing heart using faux stained glass—perfect for a cozy Valentine keepsake. $35 All materials included, with a guided, beginner-friendly experience and a calming tea or kava option to sip while you create. Join me at Washington Lodge with CEED in Brookhaven for an afternoon of studying, sketching and then watercoloring the treasures of Winter - think seed pods, leaves, feathers…all material provided, but feel free to bring your own specimens or paint if you wish.

Holiday Watercolor Workshop
Join me for a fun wreath watercolor workshop at CEED, Washington Lodge, 287 South Country Road, Brookhaven, NY 11780. All materials are provided, and participants will go home with a matted ready-to-gift (or keep) seasonal wreath painting. Participants will be guided in drawing a natural wreath, but if you prefer you will be provided with a preprinted image on premium watercolor paper and use artist grade pigments to create your masterpiece. And for a fun finishing touch, participants can apply a lettering stencil to personalize their painting further.
All materials are provided, and participants will go home with a matted ready-to-gift (or keep) seasonal wreath painting.
